Wow! What a year it's been!
The fist pump became a staple dance move in american culture thanks to Jersey Shore, digital grew up thanks to inventions like the ipad, Avatar broke new boundaries in cinema, Brett Favre retired AGAIN...and AGAIN..and AGAIN, and we here at National American Miss awarded more than $1.5 million dollars in cash, scholarships, and prizes to young ladies across the country.
Like my favorite tv stations - VH1, MTV, & BRAVO - thought I, too, would look back at the top 10 of 2010...but National American Miss style! Follow along these next 10 days as we look back at what happened & what made headlines in pageantry & at National American Miss.....
At #10: Hoping to work for Donald Trump are National American Miss girls
The Miss Universe Organization, is owned by the notorious "Mr. Trump" and Miss Universe, Miss USA, & Miss Teen USA all fall under the Universe Organization. It's winners work for and represent the Trump Organization & image for the year of their reign. Many former NAM titleholders and contestants may have gotten their start on our stage, but now they are on their ways for the job of a lifetime, becoming Miss Teen USA or Miss USA...working for Mr. Trump...and hoping to never hear the words, "your fired". Here are just a few NAM girls who won their state USA or Teen USA titles in 2010, are headed to national pageant, and will hopefully add Trump Organization to their resume. We are soo proud of each of them and that we could be apart of their journey!
Miss Kansas Teen USA, Taylor Clark, is a former NATIONAL PRETEEN QUEEN for National American Miss!
Sydnee Stottlemyer first competed with National American Miss before going on to win Miss Missouri Teen USA
Both Miss Nebraska Teen USA & USA are NAM girls!
NAM Colorado Preteen 2006 is headed to the National Miss Teen USA competition.
Angelina Kayyalaynen, now Miss Washington USA competed in our National Pageant in 2008, making it into the top 10 representing her homestate.
Danielle Doty captured the Miss Texas Teen USA crown only a few months after giving up her Miss Texas Jr. Teen title with NAM
