Kailee Jade Jenson, Miss Utah Pre-Teen 2011 gives us the 411 on her amazing year!

Thank You National American Miss for this incredible opportunity to represent my beautiful state of Utah!  I was both shocked and honored when my name was called as the 2011 Ms. Jr. Pre-teen. The year to follow has been nothing short of spectacular with NAM activities that were full of fun, service, rewards, and friendship.

I have had so much fun representing Utah, I got to meet the Lieutenant Governor & visit our State Capitol, serve at the Children’s Justice Center, participate in the “Walk to Cure Alzheimer’s”, volunteered at my schools “PTA walk-a-thon” and my favorite- was being in the USU Homecoming Parade!  I also was able to travel all around Utah to my Sister Queens schools, speaking at assemblies promoting literacy, something that I am very passionate about.

As Jr Pre-Teen, I was able to gather over 2,000 books to donate to many local schools in Cache Valley.  I will continue gathering and donating books with my foundation “Kailee-Jade's Book Nook",  supporting literacy where ever I go!

One of the Highlights this year was going to Nationals. I met so many outstanding girls and made many new friends. Going to Disneyland, crazy hair day and pajama day and learning new dances were just a few of the great activities we participated in! I think my favorite rehearsal had to be the 70’s party where I was chosen to strut my stuff on stage as a “T.P. model”!

I would like to give a big thank you to all the NAM staff, especially Breanne and Ryan who have made my experiences so much fun! My wonderful Sister Queens, you guys are the BEST, I will love you forever!! I would also like to thank all of my family, who have always been there supporting me; my daddy, big brothers and sis, grandparents, aunts, uncles & cousins, I love you all.  I would like to give a special thanks to my mom and grandma, I wouldn’t be the person I am today without your influence in my life and the help and support you have always given me, especially during this past pageant year.

To my successor, Congratulations!! I know that you will have the time of your life! This will be a year you will never forget! My best advice to you is to appreciate every minute of it, the time will fly.  Take lots of pictures, make the most of your year, never stop smiling, and most importantly HAVE FUN!!
