2015 Miss Utah Pre-Teen, Katie Jameson, made an appearance at the newspaper's end of summer Standard Examiner Block Party. She did photo opps and a meet and greet with Disney princesses and then was part of their on stage show. During the show she gave a speech about her awareness campaign for non-epileptic seizures. She also sang Candle on the Water. The rest of the night she handed out pamphlets she created about the seizures. Finally to end the evening Katie assisted on stage handing out awards for a car show they had there.

Some of the Arizona Royalty had a great time at the HopeKids Walk on October 17th. The royalty included 2015 Miss Arizona Princess, Zoephia Decker-Knealing, 2015 Miss Arizona Princess Cover Girl, Ciana Patterson, 2015 Miss Arizona Jr. Pre-Teen Cover Girl, Kelsey Amator, and 2014 National Princess Ambassador, Ella Cox. The is the largest fundraising event for HopeKids Arizona. This event helps provide the ongoing HopeDay Program for more than 1000 families who have a child with a life-threatening medical condition. Participation ensures that families are looking forward to the next fun event around the corner rather than dwelling on what they are dealing with in the present. 2015 Miss Wisconsin Pre-Teen, Shelby Hohneke, helped with the "4 Million Meals in 4 Days" effort that took place in Woodbury, MN. She was interviewed on her efforts, and this video will be seen at many functions coming up in the community. What a great cause!

2015 Miss Utah Pre-Teen, Katie Jameson, participated in the Backpack Extravaganza Event. The event provided hundreds of backpacks filled with supplies to kids in lower income areas so they would be ready for the school year. Katie loved being able to be so involved with the event and said her title excited and inspired others to give!

2015 Miss Utah Pre-Teen Cover Girl, Jhalayah Carter, took a trip to the state capital to meet Lieutenant Governor Spencer Cox! Not only did she get to have some fun at her meeting, she also got to tour the capital and take pictures in front of some of her favorite statues.

2015 Miss Nevada Jr. Teen Cover Girl, Veronica Beauchamp, participated in a live interview on "Vegas Unwrapped" on Vegas All Net Radio in October. The interview included Aaron Phillips, Ricky Cash, and John Styles. Veronica was on for the first 48 MINUTES of the show, and then pulled to do some voice commercials afterwards! In the interview, Veronica discusses National American Miss, her state pageant, winning her Cover Girl title and Volunteer Service award, multiple service projects, her upcoming fundraisers, helping out some of her NAMily, and more...including, her message to other teens her age!

2015 Miss Utah Pre-Teen, Katie Jameson, decided to donate the Community Involvement books and school supplies to the Farr West Elementary School in Ogden, Utah. She also donated some teaching supplies she had collected. Katie choose to donate to the local elementary school because she heard the librarian talking about needing books and how much she spends herself to help. The principal, Miss Wright, was very excited and wanted all the items laid out on two tables for a picture. Principal Wright and everyone at Farr West Elementary School extend their sincerest thanks to National American Miss!

2015 Miss Arizona Princess, Zoephia Decker-Knealing, attended the 25th Annual Empty Bowls event hosted by Waste Not on October 9. Waste Not is an organization that rescues excess perishable food that would otherwise go to waste and delivers it to a diverse network of agencies and organizations that feed the hungry. For a $12 minimum donation, patrons selected their own one-of-a-kind, handcrafted ceramic bowl from thousands of beautiful bowls made by friends and members of the Arizona Clay Association. The clay for the bowls was donated by Marjon Ceramics and Laguna Clay. Once the bowl was purchased it was filled with lunch donated by Canyon Cafe. At the end of the event, patrons got to keep their empty bowl as a reminder that someone else's bowl is always empty.
