2015 Miss Nebraska Teen, Katie Bresnahan's Farewell

“Take delight in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart” –Psalm 37:4
One year ago God blessed me with the opportunity to serve him in a way I never thought possible. The day I was crowned 2015 Miss Nebraska Teen my dreams came true, and all my hard worked paid off. The year of my reign has been an unforgettable experience, and I will forever be grateful to National American Miss for the opportunity.
To start off my reign I donated books and school supplies to inner city kids in New Orleans, took part in many parades, the State Fair Meet and Greet, volunteered at the JDRF walk, read books at my libraries’ Princess Party and visited the Missouri and Kansas pageants where I met some amazing people, and lifelong friends. I had the opportunity to volunteer with 4-H and FFA, programs that have changed my life and have made me who I am today. Then was blessed with an official photo-shoot with all of my sister queens, it was so much fun! One of my favorite experiences from the year was being on staff at Miss Amazing, those girls are a true inspiration!
My reign has given me the opportunity to start my own foundation, called Cows and Crowns. I raise cattle and donate the beef to charities and families in need. This year I donated over 700 pounds to The Living Water Rescue Mission.
Next up was Nationals in Anaheim, California! It was an amazing experience. I met lifelong friends and had SO MUCH FUN! I was blessed to place 3rd Runner Up and take home new friendships, experiences and life skills.
Breanne and Ryan, thank you so much for always being so supportive and making this experience nothing short of amazing! My sister queens, you have made this year unforgettable! I know we will be friends for life! Mom, Dad, Sean and Danny, thank you for pushing to me accomplish my goals and make my dreams a reality (with a lot of entertainment along the way). To my friends, thank you for supporting me on this crazy adventure! Robin, Emerie and Joe, thank you for teaching me everything I know, helping me break out of my shell and making sure I always look fabulous!
To the Teen contestants, you have accomplished something amazing this weekend! Just think of all the amazing things you have learned and the people you have met. The crown and banner would just be the cherry on top.
Finally, to my successor, get ready for the ride of your life! Make sure to take tons of pictures, and enjoy every moment, it will go by way too fast!
I am your 2015 Miss Nebraska Teen,
Katie Bresnahan

2015 Miss Nebraska Jr. Teen, Kaitlyn Rozeboom's Farewell

I can’t put into words the moment that I was chosen to represent National American Miss as your 2015 Miss Nebraska Jr. Teen. From the moment I stepped off of that stage I was overwhelmed with the overflowing love and support from my friends and family. I started my reign by making appearances throughout the summer and volunteering with many different organizations. I was privileged to speak to many girls about building confidence and focusing on inner and outer beauty.
In November I traveled to Anaheim, California where I competed for the national title. During my week in California I made so many friendships that I will forever cherish. I was able to explore Disneyland and walk the streets of Hollywood. Leaving nationals, I left with the honor of placing 2nd runner up, amazing memories, and close relationships with my sister queens from across the country.
Throughout my reign, I was able to grow so close with my Nebraska sister queens. Thank you all for the continuous laughs, surprises, inside jokes, and love. This year was so special because I was able to spend it with all of you. To my friends, thank you for always supporting me and cheering me on all year long. Robin and Emerie, thank you for believing in me and always making me look my best. I am truly blessed for the relationships built with my Springboard family. Joe and everyone at Black Swan, thank you for your gorgeous dresses and all you’ve done for me this past year. To the best state directors out there, Ryan and Bre, thank you for all of the support and for making this year possible. Thank you for always welcoming me with arms wide open and for dedicating all of your time to making girls all around the country grow into confident young women. To my family, thank you for always being willing to come to my appearances and for showing constant love and support the whole year. To my parents, thank you for being my biggest fans and for always encouraging me. I couldn’t have done this without you.And to my successor, this year is about to be the BEST year of your life. Hold on tight, it goes so fast. Take every moment and opportunity you are given to make a difference and to be a role model for girls everywhere. Take lots of pictures and make friendships that will stick with you forever. Be true to yourself and make Nebraska proud.
Although my reign has come to an end, I will forever be grateful for this year. Here I am for the last time signing off as your 2015 Miss Nebraska Jr. Teen,
Kaitlyn Rozeboom

2015 Miss Nebraska Pre-Teen, Audrey Eckert's Farewell

My year as your 2015 Miss Nebraska Pre-Teen queen has been a thrilling whirlwind of appearances and service. From attending parades and charity events, to working on my personal fundraising platform “mittens for many and boots for buddies.” I collected over 1000 pairs of mittens and boots and donated them to Lincoln elementary students in need. It was so rewarding to know I made a difference in their life. To me this is what being a queen is all about.
This past year has been extremely rewarding and the experiences have helped me grow and become a better leader. The bonds I have made with my sister queens will be with me forever. You are the sisters I have never had and you each have inspired me to not only become a better queen but a better person.
One of the highlights of my year was attending Nationals in California over Thanksgiving. New friendships and memories were created with state queens as we toured Disneyland, rehearsed endlessly and took an unreal amount of pictures. I was so proud to represent Nebraska, and in the end, I received first runner-up in casual wear modeling and was ecstatic when my name was called as the first runner up in the Final Pageant. It was a blessing to bring this title back to the Cornhusker state.
The “thank you’s” I have to extend are many. To my state director Breanne, your bubbly personality has made our events so much fun. To my Queens Inc.  family, you have instilled confidence, character and class within me and helped me capture the crown. Theresa’s unique and creative style coupled with Madison’s experience and vision made the perfect team. To my grandparents, thanks for always being there to support me, your presence is appreciated more than you know. To my brother Dalton, thanks for enduring the pageants, and tolerating the pain that comes with them. Lastly, thank you Dad for your organizational, planning, and check writing skills, and thank you Mom, as you have been my rock and by my side every step of this journey, the two of you are the foundation of my success and I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
I wish my successor the passion needed to reach out within the community and make a difference in the lives of those around us. Take advantage of every single day, inspire others and lead by example. Remember, it’s not all about the crown but the lessons learned along the way.
It has been an absolute honor and and privilege to wear the NAM crown and represent the state of Nebraska. With pride and honor, for the last time, I am your 2015 Miss Nebraska Pre-Teen,
Audrey Eckert

I can't believe a year has gone by since I was crowned the 2015 Miss Nebraska Jr. Preteen! What an incredible year I experienced. The first opportunity I had was to donate books and school supplies to the intellectually disabled kids at Mosaic.
During the summer I ran over 6 miles at Relay for Life and helped raise over $30,000 at the Super Hero Heart Run benefiting children with Congenital Heart Defects. I also painted on the ice with the Tri-City Storm Hockey team to color out cancer. I had so much fun at the Illinois State pageant, riding in many parades and attending the Nebraska State Fair Queen Meet and Greet with my sister queens.
Then it was time for Nationals, it was such a Blast, from the fun rehearsals to meeting Amazing girls from all over the country! I had an awesome day at Disneyland with my new friends and got a girls vacation with my Mom and 2 sisters. I even got to meet Rayvon Owen from American Idol!
There are so many people I want to Thank:

My dance teachers; Miss Erin and Miss Whitney, thank you for always pushing me to do my best and supporting me through it all. Thank you to Michele Strom for helping me to look my best, and to Sharon Soltero for encouraging me and being such a role model.
