Kailyn Domingo "Adopts" Two Girls for Christmas

HELP of Southern Nevada is a program that offers help to those in need during the holidays through programs such as Adopt-A-Family, Turkey-A-Thon and a toy drive.  These programs give assistance through donating over 1,200 turkeys and gifts to over 19,000 children.  The only thing that makes this program successful is the community on Southern Nevada, including the 2014 Nevada Jr. Teen, Kailyn Domingo.  She adopted a family of two little girls and bought them toys, shoes, clothes, and even a bike!  Thanks for making the holidays great for this family!

Illinois Queens Help Out at Lansing Food Pantry

On December 30th, some of the Illinois queens spent their morning helping out at the Lansing Food Pantry located in Lansing, Illinois.  The girls were asked to assist in handing out food and other necessities to those in need in the local area.  In attendance were National American Miss Jr. Pre-Teen, Tatum Pearlman, National American Miss Illinois Pre-Teen, Brianna Lewis, National Cover Girl, Brianna Jackson, and National American Miss Illinois, Carolina Barrera. The girls reported that what they loved most about this outing was being able to see the people they were assisting and helping to put a smile on the faces of others during this holiday season.

The Lansing Community Food Pantry is a partner with the Greater Chicago Food Depository.  Support comes from local businesses, organizations, churches, schools, and individual donations of money and food.  People in need can come twice a month to receive non-perishable food, choices of meat, fresh fruit, vegetables, margarine and milk. Clients may also choose other non-food items.

Illinois Pre-Teen Queen Donates Toys to Local Church

During the month of December our Miss Illinois Pre-Teen, Brianna Lewis, collected toys to help her church, All Nations Community Church, continue to provide outreach and help for needy families during the holiday season.  Brianna put out the call for toys just 10 days before the collection deadline, and was very pleased with the response she received.  She received many donations from family and was so thrilled to also get donations from her sister queen, National American Miss Jr. Pre-Teen, Tatum Pearlman and her family.  The toys were delivered on December 17th and were more than enough to help the church reach their goal.
