Missouri Pre-Teen Helps Kids of Cancer Patients
2016 Miss Missouri Pre-Teen, Abbie
Mueller, continued her work to support kids in crisis by volunteering this past
weekend at the "Pacifiers,
Ponytails, Pompoms And Pearls Girls' Glam Day" for kids and teens who have
been affected by the cancer battle of a parent, loved one, or caregiver. Abbie was honored to be invited to assist with the event, which was presented by
Power To Exhale St. Louis at the facility of the Cancer Support Community. Along with other volunteers, Abbie helped the young women do things like
make flower crowns, get “glammed up,” walk the red carpet, and make and give
each other cards of encouragement. She loved acting as a discussion
facilitator for the attendees during "Sparkle The Pig storytime,"
leading the conversation about what makes each of them sparkle, and talking
about how they like to help others feel good about themselves too. You can follow along with Abbie’s year
