Nikki Doyle, Minnesota Preteen has fond memories of her year

When my name was called and I was crowned your New Miss Minnesota Pre-teen 2009-2010, it was the most amazing moment of my life and a day I will forever cherish in my heart! I can't believe a year has already passed and its now time to crown a new sucessor!
I am so glad I got to share this year with my sister queens. Tahara and Laney.... you two are the sweetest little girls. To my big sister Morgan, you are the best! You are always making everyone around you laugh and giggle! To Jackie, thank you for being such a beautiful role model and a great person to look up too! I love you all! To all the beautiful contestants, you are all winners and have done something amazing. To the new Miss Minnesota Preteen....Congratulations!! Make sure you cherish every moment - being a spokesperson and becoming apart of the NAM family. Because trust me...the year will fly by!
This year has been such a great year. I had so much fun riding and partaking in numerous city festivals throughout Minnesota, including my own City of Lakeville where I even got to announce and call out the winning Bingo numbers with our City Mayor. I put my creative energy to work and had so much making blankets and toys for my local human society and staying active as a represenative in our local chapter for the JRA foundation. (Juvenille Rhumetoid Arthritsis)
I would like to give a BIG Thank You to the NAM staff and family, especially our state directors, Kenn, Lani and Breanne Maples! Without this pageant, I wouldn't be the girl I am today.

Going to California to compete at Nationals was so much fun and I feel honored to be apart of that level of competition. I will forever cherish those memories!
To my Big brother Nate, thank you for always supporting me and allowing me to wear my crown, being my escort throughout this past year, and also keeping my Hockey Slapshot intack!
And a Special note to my Mom. I Love you so very much! Thank you for always supporting, reminding and inspiring me too ....C.Y.B.D.Y.B. Challenge Your Brain and Do Your Best!
You truly are...The Best Mom, a Best Friend and also a Best Part Time Schedule Manager, Organizer, Fashion Assistant, Makeup Artist, Loan officer and Taxi Driver!
With all of your unconditionial love and support, you helped make my year so much more special for me and I now know where I get my creative side!
Love and God Bless you always...
Miss Minnesota Pre-teen 2009-2010
Nikki Elizabeth Doyle

She placed 1st runner up at nationals and made minnesota proud this year, but now its time to say farewell to Morgan Clarkson.

We would never have been given the power to dream, without the strength to pursue them.

It's hard to believe that my dream has come to an end.

One year ago I was shocked, honored and blessed to be crowned the Junior Teen queen for Minnesota. So many amazing girls competed, and each one grew so much, just because of the values that National American Miss stands for.

Even though winning the title was an honor, the most cherished part of pageant weekend was having my support team there (my aunt and cousin Joshua, who doesn't enjoy the pageant scene cheering me on, right next to my best friend, who was fighting Ewing's Sarcoma.)

This was such a busy year. Just to quickly mention a few, I won a national modeling contest and flew to NYC for the first time, was on the cover of a magazine, landed a lead in my schools musical and even got to shoot in Indiana for ads for Ashley Rene's. I started preparing right away for nationals, and I cannot thank my brother, Cameron, enough for letting my mom miss his last football game, in the state championship when they won it all. It was so much fun curling my hair for introductions and watching the game live online at the same time.

Having attended Nationals for the past three years, I had a new attitude this time, and I was so prepared. I proudly placed 2nd runner up in the optional actress competition, won miss spirit and was first runner up to the National Junior Teen title! This experience blew my mind, I was beyond grateful and continue to tear up at how much I have grown as a competitor, and a person.

I have grown more this year, than I have in the past 16 years of my life. I learned how to accept things graciously, I learned to value people for who they are, and I learned how one person can affect you so much. On May 15th, I lost my best friend, Maryah Tift, to cancer. Nothing can prepare you for that. NAM, and the friends I've made through the organization were so great to me, and I could never thank them enough. It is rare to have an amazing group of people to fall back on when you need it.

I would like to personally thank the Maples, for being the best directors' a girl could ask for. Your continued support and hugs for the past six years are amazing. To Miss Kelly Maples, thank you for being the first one to welcome me into the NAM FAM and never letting me feel left out of it. Miss Breezy Bre Maples, thanks for the laughs and peptalks. To Momma Ash, Joshiee and Mia, you are truly the pageant dream team, no girl would ever want to be without such an amazing team. To the Freitags, the Misuracas and the Fosco's, the Willis', Barnes',the Merriweather's, the Kassner's, the Sauer's, and Knowles' family - you have been amazing extended families and your daughters hold extremely special places in my heart. To my sister queens, I have shared so many laughs, tears and memories with you all.

My family has been incredible this year, througout all of the hospitiliazations, trips to Indiana, and Thanksgivings' I have missed, you're an unbeatable team with an unstoppable dream, I love you all. To my mom, no matter the cost, nothing compares to your love and support that costs not a penny. I love you so much. And finally, Maryah, my best friend - without you, this year would have had no purpose, this and everything that is to follow is for you. I miss you more than words could say, and I know that you are with me. I luhh you <3 class="yshortcuts" id="lw_1282413117_3" style="color: rgb(54, 99, 136); border-bottom-style: dotted; border-bottom-width: 2px; border-bottom-color: rgb(54, 99, 136); cursor: pointer; ">13:13

National American Miss state director graces cover of Pageantry Magazine and takes us inside her journey as a correspondent for Inside Edition

Megan Alexander, Inside Edition, Brian Cournoyer, Califor National American Miss, Pageantry magazine, Miss 2010, Pageants, Carl Dunn, NAM,The world knows Megan Alexander as one of Inside Edition's news correspondents. But, for those of us involved in NAM, we know Megan Alexander as one of our state directors.

A former Miss Washington, Megan had goals even then of becoming a major television show correspondent. While Megan pursued her dreams, she continued to remain a part of the NAM family as an emcee and entertainer. However, a few years ago she married one of our state directors, Brian Cournoyer(both Megan and Brian, photographed above, backstage at a NAM pageant with Megan's cover)and together the 2 of them serve as directors for Indiana, California, and Washington.

In this issue of Pageantry Magazine, on newstands today, Megan graces the cover and shares with us her journey to the top in a up-close feature spread.

Megan is living proof that dreams do come true...and NATIONAL AMERICAN MISS is a great way in finding and realizing them!

Allison Higgins, Missouri Jr. Preteen Cover Girl bids a fond farewell!

I can't believe one year ago on this very stage I was crowned your Jr.Pre Teen Cover Girl. It has been an honor representing the state of Missouri.

During my year I've had many opportunities, such as; participating in parades, meeting some of our local State Representatives with my sister queens, donating the books and bears to Shriners Hospital and Families of Kids With Cancer, traveling to other state pageants, and I even got to meet some of the St.Louis Rams!

My first visiting royalty pageant was Illinois where I met alot of new friends and met up with some old friends. Then we traveled to Iowa to see my close friend Merrill give up her crown. Merrill we will always be sister queens.

One thing you will do this weekend is make lots of friends, but what I didn't realize 4 years ago on pageant weekend was that I was going to meet my best friend Kaitlyn. We have so much fun together swimming, sleepovers, and making smores late at night. Kaitlyn your the best!

I would like to thank my sister queens for an amazing year we had together. Thanks to the entire NAM staff, I appreciate all your hard work and dedication. Breanne Maples, thanks for always being there with a smile and making all of us laugh, and oh yeah I LOOK GOOD! A special thanks to mama Sears for always being there to help, too.

To my family and friends I love you and thanks for all your support. The biggest thanks goes to my mom, dad, and brother for always taking me where I need to go and paying for it, and supporting me in my dreams. Thanks to Lindsay my pageant helper I love you all.

To all the contestants here this weekend have fun and take in every moment because it will go by fast. Always remember a dream is as big as you dream it!

For the last time this is your 2009 Missouri Jr.Pre Teen Cover Girl,

Allison Higgins
