Miss Wisconsin Jr. Preteen is no stranger to how Amazing those with Special Needs are!!!
Brielle Shortreed, the recently crowned Wisconsin Jr. Preteen has wasted no time getting busy in her community since winning her title. Most recently, Brielle helped out at the Wisconsin Special Olympics Torch Run.
Brielle not only gives time to this cause, but lives day to day learning and helping out with it. The Shortreed's home is a licensed Adult Special Needs Home. Ever since the age of 2, Brielle has lived and grown with an adult special needs named Travis. Brielle also spends time at another special needs home,learning sign language and interacting with a special needs adult who is hearing impaired. Brielle says she "wants to use her time this year as Miss Wisconsin, to inspire more community involvement, encourage others to volunteer, and to reach out to the Special Needs in their communities and get to know these amazing people."
