It takes a village to raise a child...

You often hear the saying...."it takes a village to raise a child." Well, let me share with JUST how true this is.

This year, over 500 young leaders from all across the state of Illinois competed for the title of Miss Illinois Princess, Jr. Preteen, Preteen, Jr. Teen, & Teen.

And 3 of 5 of this year's winners are from the exact same city and have all attended the exact same elementary school!!!

Of course, the town of Vernon Hills, IL is proud, proud, proud of their hometown girls - Miss Illinois Princess, Tatum Pearlman; Miss Illinois Jr. Preteen, Peyton Newman; and Miss Illinois Preteen, Cassidy Raasch!

Clearly the town of Vernon Hills, IL is doing something right in the way they are raising the future leaders of America and National American Miss is proud to be part of that growth & personal development!
