NAM Minnesota Queens Help Give the Gift of Music to Children in Need
On February 9th and 10th, Our
reigning Miss Minnesota, Brittany Link, along with our reigning Miss Minnesota
Pre-teen, Michelle Bergh, volunteered for the MusicLink Playathon at the Mall
of America to help benefit the MusicLink Foundation. The MusicLink Foundation
strives to give children in financial distress the chance to receive music
lessons at an affordable cost.

The MusicLink foundation reaches out to low-income families by linking students in need with professional music teachers who willingly reduce their fees by at least half to make the lessons more affordable for the students. The
proceeds from the weekend will benefit local Minnesota children in need.
The MusicLink Playathon was sponsored by
Minnesota Music Teachers Association and Schmitt Music. At the event,
volunteers performed at Nordstrom Court in the Mall of America to raise funds
for the MusicLink Foundation.
People of all ages performed throughout the
weekend, demonstrating various types of musical talent-- from Piano, to vocals,
and even guitar! NAM’s own Minnesota Pre-teen Queen, Michelle Bergh, performed
a vocal number to showcase her love of music and to help provide the gift of
music to children who may otherwise be unable to afford it.
