Calling All Volunteers! Uniquely You Pageant Needs Your Help!
I am always SO impressed with our National American Miss State Finalists and enjoy watching them grow throughout their experience with us. One of these young ladies is Wisconsin's own Hailey Herbst. As a Miss Wisconsin State Finalist for the last four years, Hailey has carried her love for pageantry into creating the Uniquely You Pageant for individuals with special needs. Hailey is now looking for volunteers who can help with this year's Uniquely You Pageant. The event will take place July 22nd in Oshkosh, WI. If you are in, or can travel to the area, why not volunteer your time for such a great cause!
Hailey qualified and competed at the NAM National Pageant in 2015, and it was during her time in California that she was inspired to make a difference through her passions. The creation of Uniquely You was truly a blend of her two passions, pageantry and helping those with special needs. With a brother and step-brother with special needs she saw first hand how encouraging those with special needs can make the otherwise impossible, possible. After a lot of work by many volunteers, the first Uniquely You Pageant was held on August 6, 2016 in Fond du Lac, WI.
Uniquely You was purposely designed with the intent of helping others. There is no entry fee for contestants and 100% of proceeds from admissions and other fundraising efforts are donated to Organizations in WI that specialize in helping individuals with special needs. Uniquely You’s mission is simple, “Encourage others to disbelieve in disabilities, embrace their uniqueness, and emphasize their abilities.”
