NAM girls win COVER MODEL CONTEST & are rising to stardom
The Cover Model Contest is one of the most fabulous photogenic competitions in the country, and launches it's winners into instant stardom in the pageantry and modeling industry.
Well-known pageant name, Ashley Tucker-Swathwood (pageantsbyashley.com & ashleyrenessonline.com) launched the search for the first time in 2009, in hopes of finding 2 girls( a jr. and a miss) who would become the faces of her successful advertising campaign, which is featured in many major magazines.
Along with becoming the faces of Pageants By Ashley & Ashley Renes, winners received a prize package filled with swag- galore and opportunities out of the yin-yang!
Entrants were asked to submit up to 3 photos, as well as answer a questionnaire and essay about themselves, their modeling experience, pageant experience, and goals for the future. Each month a Jr. Miss & Miss winner were chosen. At the end of the year, a celebrity judges panel picked the best...and this year, the BEST happened to be 2 NAM girls( OF COURSE!)

Congratulations goes to Jr. Cover Model of the year, KAYLYN SLEVIN.
Kaylyn is, also currently our Miss Illinois Jr. Preteen.
She went on to the national pageant this past year, and aside from placing in the top 10, Kaylyn took home the Casual Wear Modeling, Most Promising Model, Miss Photogenic, & the Golden Achievement award, which honors the young lady whose service within her community went about and
beyond excellence.
While, Kaylyn's newest title of Jr. Miss Cover Model continue
s to provide her with an array of opportunities - you can still find this down-to-earth, sassy role-model giving back to her community.
Congratulations goes to Miss Cover Model of the year, Morgan Clarkson.
Morgan is, also currently our Miss Minnesota Jr. Teen.
She went on to the national pageant this past year, and aside from receiving top honors in the Actress Competition, Morgan was 1st RUNNER up to the NATIONAL TITLE!!!!
When asked why she wanted to be The Cover Model of the Year, Morgan responded,
" I never thought --- the girl whose photogenic pictures never graced top five, or whose idea of modeling consisted of only gorgeous, thin girls ---would even win a photo/modeling contest. Well I've decided to redefine what we call "models" and "gorgeous." Being the Cover Model of the Year would help me prove that. Who knows? There may be someone out there that decides to pursue their modeling dreams because they see that they too are gorgeous, size 00 or not!"
With that said, I think its safe to say why both Morgan & Kaylyn are not only The Cover Models of the Year, but also sincerely positive role -models, defining everything the NATIONAL AMERICAN MISS program stands for.
Keep your eyes peeled as Morgan & Kaylyn will embark on this next year on a whirl-wind advertising campaign. However, these are 2 starlets that National American Miss is PROUD to call their own!
