Imani Muse, Illinois Princess loved every minute of being a real life princess!
Oh my goodness what a great year it has been!!!! I couldn’t believe it when they called my name for winning Talent and Casual wear, then on to crowing. I made it in the top 10, then top 5 then they said our new 2009 Illinois princess is…. Imani Muse! Again, I couldn’t believe it! Then Nationals… oh my goodness, what can I say about Nationals! It was first time ever going to California and it was an adventure! One of the best memories from there, was the crazy hair day, seeing Michael Jackson’s Star and winning Top 5 in Spokesmodel!!!!
We did all kinds of volunteer service this year. We volunteered at the Cancer Walk on the lake, spent the whole night at the Relay for Life, was part of Chole’s Team for Special Needs, walked for the March of Dimes and I helped feed the children at the Easter Project. Those were only some of the project that we did! We were also part of the St. Patrick Day, Columbus Day and the 4th of July parade where we rode on the fire truck! I didn’t know how much work it was to be a Queen!
I met a lot of new friends this year from Nationals, the open calls and from being visiting royalty in different states. I not only had my very own sister Isis to share this year with, but I gained 5 more big sisters: Kaylyn, Emily, Cat, Lynzi and Heather! I also can’t forget about Alex, my Cover Girl Sister, you rock big sister number 6! I love you guys and I will always remember my year with you! To my dad, I love you and you are the best dad & escort ever! To my mom who is always there, I thank you for everything you do and for being my personal chaffuer! To the Maples and Breanne thanks for allowing me to represent Illinois well!
