WIsconsin girl becomes spokesperson for the Blood Center of Wisconsin after surviving 3 heart surgeries before the age of 9

Helen Kraklow is a spunky 10 year old girl who you would never guess was born with a congenital heart defect. She's an ambitious, tap dancing dynamo, who doesn't let anything stop her from achieving her dreams. Helen, who has competed in the National American Miss Wisconsin pageant for the past few year, along with her older sister, Evelyn is now a spokesperson for the BloodCenter of Wisconsin.

Having experienced and survived 3 open heart surgeries (which requires many units of blood) before the age of 4, Helen aims to encourage others to donate blood. After having the opportunity to meet one of her blood donors, the BloodCenter of Wisconsin was eager to make them the faces of their organization.
