Utah Princess Cover Girl, Miah Green's Farewell
My mom picked me up from school in December 2012 and said, "You received an invitation to an Open Call for the National American Miss Utah state pageant." I don't think she thought I would say yes, but I did. This was the first pageant I ever competed in so it was a learning experience for all. I practiced sitting, standing and walking with a little help of YouTube and the Pageant Prep workshop. I was crowned Utah State Cover Girl and placed 3rd runner up in the Queen's Court.
My reign then began and it has been a nonstop learning experience. I chose to donate my time to Christmas Box International, which helps neglected, abused and abandoned children. I still volunteer a minimum of 2 hours weekly and it has not only changed my life, but my entire families. I have become a Volunteer Ambassador for Christmas Box International and I talk to people of all ages on how they can make a difference in their community. I have also helped with Food Bank food drives and fundraisers for families in need in our community.
Before going to Nationals in Anaheim, CA I had a blast being visiting Royalty at the Nevada and Missouri state pageants. It was fun helping girls with the production number, laughing together and encouraging them with my fellow Queen sisters.
Then my family and I were off to CA!!! I want to thank Michele Strom for all your coaching! With your help I placed 3rd runner up in All-American Princess division! I was also, crowned National Cover Model.
I recently have enjoyed helping with the St. George Open Call and the Salt Lake City Pageant Workshop.
I was given the honor of being a "Spotlight Performer" with the Utah Jazz! None of this would have happened without NAM showing me that I had Princess Potential!
Thank you to Breanne, Ryan, Phil and my amazing royalty coordinator, Brittany for being just as excited as I was when new opportunity knocked on my door! I want to thank my family for being supportive of all my dreams. My mom and dad have being great taxi drivers, volunteer partners and my biggest fans! Thanks to my four siblings and especially, my little brother, Royal, for being the best escort a girl could have! Thanks to Ryun, my cheer coach, for always keeping my head in the clouds and feet firmly planted! I love you all and could not imagine this adventure without you all! I am going to miss my sister queens; Natalia, Alexis, Erika, Kyla and Ariana. A special thanks to Shae Smolik, National American Miss Princess for all the fun we had as visiting Royalty and at Nationals!
To my successor, always have fun and remember, "Nothing you wear is more beautiful than a SMILE"
Enjoy!
