2015 Miss Utah, Josie Tidwell's Farewell

It is hard to believe that my year as your 2015 Miss Utah has almost come to an end. Words cannot express the impact this year has had on my life. I got the chance to be in local parades and volunteer with many organizations, including the local Ronald McDonald House.

Before I knew it, I was off to Hollywood, California to compete for the National title. I got the chance to create friendships with other amazing women from all over the United States. It was a blast to spend time with the other queens in my age division during all the amazing rehearsals, competitions, and all the fun events. I also had an amazing time spending a day at Disneyland and a day touring Hollywood.

This journey could of never been possible without my loved ones by my side. To my mom, thank you for all you have done. I know it has been a little stressful to follow me around throughout the year and help out when needed, but I could of never gotten this far without you right by my side the whole time. To my dad, thank you for all the countless times you have had to dress up and be my escort on stage. I can not tell you how much I loved having you be by my side on and off stage. To my siblings, grandparents, family and friends, thank you for all the support that you have showed me throughout my journey.

To my amazing, loving sister queens: Zareena, Kayla, Katie, Jhalayah, Natalie, Paris, DeAnn, and Veronica, I have loved every second that we got to spend together, we have grown to become true sisters. Thank you for all the fun times, the laughs, and for being there throughout this year. I love you all so much. To the NAM staff, thank you for making my dream possible. I have loved every second of it. To my successor, I am happy another amazing woman will be taking over my title. I hope you have the time of your life, remember to cherish every moment of it because this year will fly by.
