Miss Missouri Teen Volunteers at 5K to Benefit Vicki Welsh Fund
Your Miss Missouri Teen, Jessica Hanner, was honored to volunteer at the 5K Whisper Walk/Run in Zona Rosa. She enjoyed
setting food out for the runners and being a cheerleader for the them as they
ran the course. So many people, including ovarian cancer survivors and their
families, participated despite the inclement weather! As Jessica and other volunteers cheered on
runners and walkers, her brother and mom walked the 5K. One of her favorite parts was seeing the memory wall which was full of photos and heartfelt tributes to those who
have battled the disease. A big thank you is due to Dave Welsh for allowing Jessica be
a part of such a great event that generates awareness and helps educate women
about the risk factors and symptoms of ovarian cancer. The 5K Whisper Walk/Run
benefits the Vicki Welsh Fund by raising awareness of the disease and its
symptoms. Please visit vickiwelshfund.org for more information, to
find out about upcoming events, and to see how you can be a part of finding the
cure.
