A look back with Grace Rigdon, Miss Iowa Preteen 2009
Winning National American Miss has been the most exciting time of my life! I have made so many friends and gained self-confidence. I know that you will have more than fun this weekend!
My year has been busy, but awesome. Nationals was a very good experience. Mickey, Minnie, and all the queens too, Nationals was a dream come true! This year going to California, I met so many people and also loved competing at a higher level!
I have been a busy Pre-Teen involved in lots of community service this year such as, feeding families at the Ronald McDonald, helping and donating money to the Ronald McDonald run, helping out with some sister queens at the 5k run by handing out water to the runners, and I was also in several parades last summer.
Pageant girls, just remember to have fun and smile. Feel confident! We all get butterflies, but it is ok. Girls, NEVER give up in ANYTHING. You can achieve if you believe. My motto is: You get what you work for NOT what you wish for!
Good luck,
Grace Rigdon
